Causes | Alkaline materials eg. lime, concrete and cement are potentially harmful to traditional solvent borne paint finishes. Under damp conditions alkaline solutions are created which can result in decomposition of the paint finishes (saponification). |
Solution:Prime all bare interior surfaces with one coat of Crown Trade Alkali Resisting Primer. Allow a minimum drying time of 16 hours in normal drying conditions. |
